Cafe and information centre

Buddys offers a warm welcome, comfortable seating, and a varied menu at very reasonable prices.

Our regulars say it has a lovely atmostphere and very friendly volunteers - an ideal place to meet friends for a coffee or light lunch.

The café is staffed by volunteers, some of whom have learning disabilities. Access to work experience helps improve their life skills and sense of well being.

Buddys is an information centre with links to associated groups. We promote the work of centres, clubs, projects, schools and Mencap. We offer improved access to information for the learning disabled and their carers. We offer support to families to help prevent the breakdown of the family care network.

Available for hire

Buddys is an excellent facility which can be hired outside its normal opening times - ideal for meetings, training sessions, receptions, etc.

The cafe area has seating for about 20 people and is fully accessible throughout, including the toilets.

Hire charges are £15 per hour, £30 per half day and £60 all day. Concessions are available for associated voluntary groups.
